Of DESIGNER FABRIC! Let's all say it oooooo ... aaahhhh ... There was a sale on designer fabrics at the fabric store a few weeks ago and I'd been craving a certain one to make a dress for my Doll Baby, so I bought it. After washing it, it still felt so soft and nice, I wanted more. So I bought a bit more in some different colors and with a great coupon, I bought more. Then I found fabric.com and I couldn't resist. It feels so great!
So, I finally made something with one of the fabrics and it felt sooooo good. The needle ran so smoothly through the fabric. It ironed nicely, folded nicely, held the stitching nicely and the pieces I made hold a great shape. Oh boy, I'm addicted! Now, I'm realistic and know that I can't go buy designer fabric with some of those prices! I am reasonable and will only buy if there is a coupon or a sale or just a really good deal of some sort. However, I now see how desirable these fabrics are and how worth the time and money they can be. They are durable, reliable (yes, fabric must be reliable), they play well, wash well and simply put, they wear well.
Soooo, with that, you will be seeing a lot more designer fabrics in my designs for Doll Baby Bowtique. you can already see it in the Fairy Flowers skirt ... sewing with that fabric, well it was like "butter." The hard thing is that I am so in love with these fabrics that all I want to do is keep them for me and Miss A, but then that would just be selfish. And besides, I do want to share the oooo's and aaahhh's. I really do.
