Not Always a Hit ...
Lately, I've been working my hardest to try new and interesting things. I'll try materials that I haven't used before, designs I've never tried before and pieces that seem good at the time. Most of the time I am pleased with how things come out and am proud to put the final product out there.
Still, there comes a time ... thankfully not often at all ... where my designs are just not home run worthy. At the time I think it may be a great idea, but in the end, it's the customer's right to decide that it's just not as good as they thought.
It always makes me nervous when this happens. I am a people pleaser ... I like to make everything perfect for everyone else. So when I find out that it's not perfect, I get a little anxious. That's just me. Still, I will do whatever I can to right my wrong.
If you find that what you purchased from me is not exactly what you wanted or expected, or just doesn't hold up (it's rare, but it happens), I WILL replace it ... I will fix it ... I will make it better ... and at no extra cost to you. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you find yourself in this situation.
That is my guarantee. I appreciate your business and your support and I want to make you a happy customer because that is my job!

Weight Check Wednesday 3
Good Morning!
This past week was NOT a good week at all. There was something about the week that just threw me for a loop. No matter how hard I tried to focus, I just couldn't get it together. First, I was feeling sick-ish. I don't think I ever got full-blown sick, but I still felt bleck. To top it off, I hardly slept all week. I'm on a medication that gives me a burst of energy just after I take it and a few (4-5) hours later, I'm tired. Well, I kept forgetting to take it in the evening so I could be asleep at a good time. I kept taking it later at night and would be up until 2-3am. So by the end, I was suffering from severe exhaustion. Let me tell you it wasn't fun. With feeling bleck to begin with and then exhasted, there wasn't a lot of exercise and there wasn't a lot of home cooking. Still with eating out a bit more, I tried to be very careful of eating healthier take-out.
Well, as of Sunday, I've been back to taking the medicine at the right time and have been getting some decent sleep. I've been trying to get things back in order after a bum week, so I haven't had a chance to exercise until today. Oh well. It's a new week. I have until next Wednesday to get back on a work out routine.
Still, even after the scale deboggle of last week, I'm please with my weigh-in today. I didn't lose, but I also didn't gain in the last 2 weeks like I had expected. Phew ... I could have very easily gained after last week. I am also excited to say that I have finally gotten on the routine of portion control and less snacking! That is a HUGE goal I've had.
So,
This week: 182.4 (0 lost, 0 gained)
Exercised: 2x - 2 mile walk and a 3 hour walk around the beach (lots of uphill)
My goal for this coming week is to get on the exercise routine I need to be on. I'm hopeful!
How did you do?

Weight Check Wednesday 2
I did not forget about checking in today. On the contrary, it was on my mind all day long. I weighed myself this morning multiple times ...
the first time, it said I gained 3 lb. This I knew could NOT be true. So after a while, I weighed myself again and I was down a bit ... now after all day, eating, etc., I weigh barely more than I weighed last week. So, today, I have NO idea what I weigh this week. I think it has something with Aitana fiddling with it yesterday.
Last week: 182.4
This week: ???
Exercised 4x, 2 2-mile walks, 1 1-mile walk, 6 hour walk around Disneyland
There was a lot of stress this past week with trying to do an order for twins last minute. But just so glad to be done with that, get out 5 packages and do a few more to ship on Friday. Then I'll get to work on some ready-made stuff.
I'll try again tomorrow and if not there is always next week.

Weight Check Wednesday
Friends, Fans and Family ...
Only few of you know the struggles I've had losing weight since having my kids. Aitana is 3.5 and Gabriel is almost 2 and I am now at the point where there is just no excuse anymore.
When Aitana was born, I gained 50 lbs. 20 extra pounds were because at some point my sciatica got so bad I could not exercise and couple that with bedrest and that end of pregnancy need for ice cream. I lost 30 fairly quickly. With Gabriel, I gained 30 and lost 30 quickly ... I did it the right way. But that old 20 was still around. To make matters worse, I had gained about 15 (+ or -) after I got married, so I still had that going on. I lost an additional 12 by the end of last year, but since the holidays, I've gained 6 back.
I'm done, tired and frustrated. Having lost those extra 12, I felt good, had more energy and my sciatica remained pretty quiet. Now that 6 of them are back, I'm hurting yet again.
So, here is what I'm doing ... I need help. I need support. I need someone to hold me accountable. That is how I lost weight (and kept it off) in the past and now I am turning to you ... all of you.
There are hundreds of people out there that can read this and I would just be much too embarrassed if I fail now.
A big part of this is not having a routine going ... in most aspects of my life. That is the other goal of all of this. After Gabriel was born, my little family lost all sense of routine in our day to day life. We have meal and bedtime routines down, it's just the rest of it that is lost in the mix. Now that Gabriel will be 2 in just 3 weeks, that is no longer acceptable.
So, now that I've explained all the history leading up to today ... from here on, I will check in every Wednesday with a weight check ... lbs lost (hopefully not gained, but I will share that too), dress size, exercise info, and possibly even what I've eaten (although, I will be keeping a journal of that).
What I need from you is just support and encouragement. Anyone who would like to join in with me, please feel free to do so. Just comment under my posts with your info and we can do this together! Here we go:

Spring Cleaning Time!
Oh my! It's been so very long since I've blogged on here. Bad me! Shame, shame! I've been missing it though! I've been eager to get back to writing on here once again :)

What has prompted me to finally write? Well, not only have I been semi-laid up with my sciatic and I'm bored out of my mind, but I have been eager to CLEAN! And by clean, I mean clean out my fabric.
I have a cabinet filled with my basics and things for holidays and winter and current and future lines. But, I went crazy in the last few months nabbing up some adorably wonderful fabrics and now there is no room! So, then came the idea of my Spring Cleaning Event!

I'm making tons and tons of items of all kinds from dresses to skirts to tunics, outfits, bow ties, tie shirts, ruffle onesies and more! I also have a TON of new patterns I'm so badly wanting to put into use. So after prepping and sewing, these items have to go somewhere, so I figured it should benefit everyone! How sew? 1) You get some cute stuff for spring and summer and a great discount! 2) I get to see my floor again! 3) I am building a supply for a future craft fair!
This isn't the only fabric I have sitting and waiting either ... my kids have their own pile of fabric! Yep, piles of their very own. And after I'm done cutting and sewing all their stuff, the remnants go to my spring cleaning pile. But their remnants are not truly remnants. My kids are small and I typically buy 1.5-2 yds of fabric at a time, SO there is plenty left over!

Hope you enjoy this event as much as I am!
~Katrina
